Expanding access to blood disorders care in East Africa: Official launch in Rwanda

Reducing time and distance to receive care, fostering national and regional alliances to create policy change and increasing diagnosis. 

These are just three of the goals of the latest co-funded initiative with the Novo Nordisk Foundation, which brings together Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. At its Rwanda chapter launch in Kigali in August 2023, Ministry of Health representative Dr Thomas Muyombo praised the Rwanda team’s engagement of regional hospitals and authorities.
