Habib Bennaceur

Habib Bennaceur is Senior Vice President for Global Rare Disease at Novo Nordisk. He joined Novo Nordisk in June 2020 and assumed his current role in April 2025. Prior to this, he served as Corporate Vice President for Global Rare Blood, where he led the Rare Blood therapeutic area.

Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Habib held a range of senior global, regional, and country leadership roles at AstraZeneca between 2007 and 2020, including Global Vice President for the Cardio Renal and Metabolic franchise, as well as President for North and West Africa. Earlier in his career, he worked at Pfizer in medical and commercial leadership roles.

Habib Bennaceur is a Medical Doctor, educated at the University of Algiers.

Habib was elected as NNHF Council President in 2026.
