Dr Kibet Shikuku

Dr Kibet P. Shikuku is a haematology and laboratory medicine specialist from Kenya, with experience in inherited bleeding disorders, haemoglobinopathies, blood transfusion and laboratory systems strengthening. He is affiliated with the University of Nairobi and has contributed to clinical, academic and public health work in Kenya and across East Africa.

Dr Shikuku has played a leading role in advancing haemophilia care in Kenya through the Kenya Haemophilia Association. He has supported stronger patient representation, improved diagnosis, care coordination and advocacy, helping to build a stronger national haemophilia community.

He has been a close partner of NNHF for many years, including through NNHF-supported projects in Kenya and East Africa. His work with NNHF has focused on strengthening capacity, improving access to diagnosis and care, and supporting more sustainable care pathways for people affected by haemophilia, sickle cell disease and other blood disorders.

Dr Shikuku was elected to the NNHF Council in 2026.
