  • National Haemophilia Committee created
  • National diagnosis, treatment and care guidelines updated
  • Haemophilia unit established in Can Tho Central Hospital; 2 doctors, 2 nurses and 2 lab technicians trained about haemophilia diagnosis and care at NIHBT in Hanoi
  • Comprehensive care model implemented in NIHBT in Hanoi, Hue Central Hospital and Blood Transfusion Hospital in Ho Chi Minh; haematologists, technical laboratories, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists and social worker trained
  • 300 doctors from provincial hospitals trained
  • 300 medical students trained
  • 700 patients and families trained at conferences, peer group meetings each year
  • 200 patients and families trained at the summer camp each year
  • 200 new patients diagnosed by the outreach programme
  • 6 publications about haemophilia printed
