Objectives

  • Validate the HJHS 2.1, FISH, PedHAL/HAL, CHOKLAT and HEMOQoL-A into Thai language
  • Perform a training of trainers session on musculoskeletal (MSK) care evaluations for the team in Chian Mai and Bangkok
  • Delineate the MSK status of people with haemophilia in Chiang Mai and Bangkok
  • Provide training to people with haemophilia about the importance of MSK evaluation and physical activity
  • Share results at local and international journals and at one international conference

Achievements

  • In-depth training of 6 healthcare professionals from the two trainers’ teams with Sick Kids, Canada
  • Follow-up visit and workshops with Sick Kids, Canada
  • MSK care training sessions carried out by the two trainers’ teams in 6 provinces
  • MSK booklets translated
  • Haemostasis and MSK registry developed
  • HJHS and FISH manuals translated
  • Two educational videos developed focusing on MSK care and on how to choose the right shoes

Impact

  • Specialised MSK knowledge in Bangkok and Chiang Mai
  • Training of 6 provinces
  • MSK prioritised in haemophilia care by the National Health Security Office
