  • Developed care and treatment guidelines through involvement of all key stakeholders and based on existing literature adapted to local situation
  • Implemented a training programme called “Haemophilia Schools”: Trainings of HCPs, patients and families across the country
  • Improved adult care by established dedicated haemophilia cabinets in four university clinical centres in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujerac
  • Spread messages of needs and challenges at WHD events in 2012 and 2013 and through professionally executed media campaign at every activity

“Thanks to our activities, everything is now set up for good haemophilia treatment – a network of professionals has been created, educational material is in place and home treatment is legal.  Engaging the media and gaining public support and awareness has been an important contributor to these achievements,”
