Objectives

  • Establish dedicated haemophilia cabinets in four University clinical centres
  • Develop and implement national treatment guidelines for haemophilia
  • Create “Haemophilia school” – training programme for healthcare professionals in the regions
  • Educate people with haemophilia and their family members
  • Create awareness to the general public

Achievements

  • Developed care and treatment guidelines through involvement of all key stakeholders and based on existing literature adapted to local situation
  • Implemented a training programme called “Haemophilia Schools”: Training of healthcare professionals, people with haemophilia and families across the country
  • Improved adult care by established dedicated haemophilia cabinets in four university clinical centres in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujerac
  • Spread messages of needs and challenges at World Haemophilia Day events in 2012 and 2013 and through professionally executed media campaign at every activity
