Objectives

  • Increase awareness and improve haemophilia diagnostic, care and treatment
  • Improve existing national haemophilia registry
  • Create 4-5 more haemophilia centres in the main regions, based on and integrated in the existing healthcare network with importance to non-discriminating access

Achievements

  • 5 new functional haemophilia centres in main regions
  • Workshops for healthcare professionals, people with haemophilia and families
  • Written educational materials for doctors, nurses and people with haemophilia developed and distributed
  • Numerous meetings with the patient organisation and authorities
  • Creation of a National Alliance for Rare Diseases
  • Updating of national haemophilia registry and creation of a database on health and socioeconomic data
  • Improved diagnosis through testing of 1,081 samples collected
