Objectives

Design and apply a comprehensive national training programme for healthcare professionals
Create guidelines for treatment of haemophilia
Produce educational material for healthcare professionals and people with haemophilia
Improve the laboratory facilities
Screen and (re-)diagnose 1,680 people with haemophilia
Six educational sessions for people with haemophilia to be conducted
Set up a national medical registry

3 healthcare professionals and 6 lab technicians trained in international specialist centres
National guidelines established to standardise care nationwide
Improved diagnosis equipment and skills; for the first time people with haemophilia know the type and severity of their condition
146 people retested, and 19 newly identified by the end of 2017
215 people with haemophilia and family members received educational training to improve their understanding of the condition
