Objectives

  • Capacity building haemophilia care programme for Pakistan – national project (extension of Pakistan 1 project to a national level)

Achievements

  • One month master training program for 20 physicians and lab technicians from eight regions
  • Healthcare professionals education conducted in eight regions
  • Over 800 diagnosis confirmed (haemophilia+vWD)
  • 1,200 people with haemophilia registered
  • Official publication of treatment guidelines for haemophilia and complications
  • Six posters and oral presentations at the Pakistan Society of Haematology in 2012 in Karachi and Islamabad + ISTH 2013
  • 2 posters presentations at WFH Paris 2012 and manuscripts of six original articles will be submitted for publication
