Objectives
- Establish a reference laboratory a the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH)
- Create an electronic medical registry and complete the identified patient profiling
- Empower people with haemophilia through four educational camps
- Create awareness by organising two World Haemophilia Day celebrations and develop awareness publications
- Establish regional haemophilia care services in the South West Region
Achievements
- Over 140 doctors and 100 nurses were trained during five training session across the country
- The first treatment guidelines were developed
- More than 400 PWH and their families were trained during five educational sessions
- 3 awareness creation programmes on the local radio channels talking about haemophilia
