Objectives

  • Increase NHS local chapters knowledge on haemophilia and provide a structured approach to advocacy
  • Support haemophilia care training for two doctors (one paediatrician and one general physician) from rural areas of each chapter
  • Raise awareness amongst local government officials

Achievements

  • The project builds on the WFH advocacy activities already conducted
  • Increased healthcare professionals capacity building to enable improved care in rural areas
  • Higher recognition by authorities and higher political support for haemophilia care

NNHF funds and supports projects in developing countries to improve access to care for people with haemophilia and allied bleeding disorders.
