Objectives

  • Perform comprehensive training programme for healthcare professionals and people with haemophilia
  • Create comprehensive treatment centre in Rabat -> focus: multidisciplinary team
  • Establish 3-5 regional haemophilia centres
  • Strengthen local patient organisation

Achievements

  • Training of 44 dentists and 29 nurses in Rabat, raising awareness about haemophilia in hospitals across Morocco
  • Supporting the multidisciplinary team in Rabat with the purchase of physiotherapy equipment for a newly established paediatric centre
  • Training of 83 members of the medical staff about the benefits of physiotherapy in haemophilia care in the regional hospitals El Ghassani, Al Baytar and the Hassan II university hospital
