Objectives

  • Raise awareness amongst healthcare professionals on diagnosis and treatment of women with bleeding and clotting disorders
  • Create a women’s support group at a national level
  • Devise a leadership manual for the women’s group in Malaysia
  • Engage media to support improvement of care in Malaysia
  • Set up a national haemophilia and coagulation disorders standards board

Achievements

  • Established counselling group for new mothers or women with haemostatic problems
  • Activated regional chapters within the Malaysian Haemophilia Society
  • Awareness about haemophilia created on World Haemophilia Day 2017
  • National Haemophilia and Coagulation Disorders Standards Board established
