Objectives

  • Organise a comprehensive national training programme for healthcare professionals
  • Conduct educational sessions and awareness campaigns for people with haemophilia
  • Create educational materials for people with haemophilia and their family in Arabic
  • Develop an Arabic website with educational material for both healthcare professionals and people with haemophilia. The website will serve as a communication channel for people with haemophilia and the different stakeholders in the Arabic speaking countries

Achievements

  • Interactive website available for haemophilia community in local language
  • National haemophilia committee formed
  • Home treatment available for the first time
  • Increased number of registered people with haemophilia receiving regular care
  • Improved knowledge of people with haemophilia about their condition
