Objectives

  • Improve the diagnosis accuracy in haemophilia
  • Train healthcare professionals on haemophilia
  • Organise educational workshops for people with haemophilia and their family members
  • Create a national registry and treatment guidelines
  • Raise awareness of bleeding disorders amongst the authorities and the general public

Achievements

  • Quality diagnosis and care established in Jamaica becoming a reference for bleeding disorders in the Caribbean
  • Strengthened collaboration and alignment between people with haemophilia and medical community for advocacy purposes
