Objectives

  • Map the musculoskeletal (MSK) morbidities and physiotherapy practices prevalent in factor limited settings, particularly India
  • Delineate and implement a clinical pathway of MSK care for people with haemophilia
  • Increase awareness and access to physical therapy in the management of MSK morbidities amongst people with haemophilia

  • Physiotherapy protocol developed
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment and exercises training
  • Orthopaedic surgeons trained
  • 14 haemophilia centres providing MSK care 
  • 400 people with haemophilia trained in 3 physiotherapy camps
  • 350 people with haemophilia included in the established MSK registry
  • 2 abstracts presented at the MSK Congress
  • 3 awareness films produced
  • Physiotherapy included in the government haemophilia plan
