Objectives

  • Promotion of physiotherapy as prevention of disability amongst children and youth with haemophilia through physiotherapy camps
  • Increase awareness about musculoskeletal (MSK) care for medical personnel
  • Document the joint/muscle status – musculoskeletal assessment of all children and youth with haemophilia
  • Raise awareness through press engagement and a documentary film

Achievements

  • People with haemophilia and care givers understand better the importance of exercise and adherence to the treatment, as well as how to better cope with the condition
  • 80 healthcare professionals trained in MSK
  • Hold the first camp for children with haemophilia
  • 101 people with haemophilia received MSK evaluations

NNHF funds and supports projects in developing countries to improve access to care for people with haemophilia and allied bleeding disorders.
