Objectives

  • Train the healthcare professionals from both public hospitals and social          security hospital in Guatemala City as well as hospital in Quetzaltenango
  • Improve the hospital infrastruture and quality of care of PwH
  • Educate patients and their families by the multidisciplinary care team
  • Create a national technical committee for haemophilia and institutionalise it
  • Create national haemophilia treatment guidelines

Reasons for cancellation

The project could not start its activities within a year after NNHF Council approval due to changes in the project leadership. Despite various efforts to accelerate the process and find new project leadership, it was not possible and therefore the project was cancelled.
