Objectives

Strengthen the patient organisation
Support capacity building on teaching hospital level aiming at further outreach to all 10 regions
Create awareness about haemophilia and available care facilities to eventually increase the diagnosis rate
Improve education on haemophilia of people with haemophilia and families

Patient association strengthened by establishment of new chapter in Kumasi
9 training sessions for 392 healthcare professionals from teaching and regional hospitals trained
1,000 copies of guidelines for the management of haemophilia
6 patient meetings in Kumasi and Accra with 108 people with haemophilia and 170 family members
8,000 copies of educational brochures for people with haemophilia
34 unique radio presentations, accumulating in about 680 minutes of live radio and 8 live TV appearances
Number of people with haemophilia increased from 36 to 98
