Objectives

  • Establish cooperation between major haemophilia centres (Shanghai, Tianjin, Beijing, Hefei, Guangzhou, Jinan)
  • Educate doctors, nurses, lab technicians and people with haemophilia – train-the-trainer concept
  • Optimise three designated reference laboratories for haemophilia diagnosis
  • Run screening programme
  • Improve national registry for people with haemophilia

Achievements

  • Strength the national haemophilia network – six centres & the “Haemophilia Home of China”, reaching out to more than 22 provinces
  • Creation of a national web-based bleeding disorders registry, including 2,844 people with haemophilia registered
  • Improved diagnosis: testing 1,616 people with haemophilia
  • Training Programmes: National diagnosis and treatment guidelines, nursing manual, medical information programme on national TV and interactive HHC-website
