We are proudly partnering with the Fondation Pierre Fabre in Burkina Faso to improve diagnosis and care of both haemophilia and sickle cell disease. Together, we will improve diagnosis and care by building awareness, advocacy and educational activities. Learn more here.
Objectives
- Raise haemophilia awareness to health authorities and general public
- Strengthen and increase population’s access to haemophilia diagnosis, to reach a diagnosis rate of 9% by 2024
- Develop outreach haemophilia knowledge of at least 300 first contact healthcare professionals
- Ensure country-wide access to haemophilia treatment
- Empower the haemophilia community
Project launch ceremony on 21 April 2022 in Ouagadougou
Representatives of the national Ministry of Health, regional health authorities as well as a delegation of the Fondation Pierre Fabre (FPF), with whom we have joined forces to expand the geographical reach of the project and jointly improve diagnosis and care for both haemophilia and sickle cell disease. Together with our project partner and FPF, we have identified specific activities where synergies will enable increased impact, primarily through awareness, advocacy and educational activities.
