Objectives
- Develop practical recommendations customised for professionals who work in primary health care
- Create educative material for professionals and for people with haemophilia with inherited bleeding disorders and their families
- Develop a treatment guiding poster to be placed in emergency rooms
- Devise an educative and monitoring diary for people with haemophilia with inherited bleeding disorders
- Prepare and deliver training activities for people with haemophilia and their families
- Organise scientific meetings and training programmes to expand and apply the outcomes generated by this project
- Publicise the results in a national meeting and the haemophilia journal
Achievements
- 487 healthcare professionals trained
- Built capacity in emergency departments in 49 municipalities
- 20% increase in people with haemophilia able to self-infuse treatment at home in two years
