Objectives

Develop practical recommendations customised for professionals who work in primary health care
Create educative material for professionals and for people with haemophilia with inherited bleeding disorders and their families
Develop a treatment guiding poster to be placed in emergency rooms
Devise an educative and monitoring diary for people with haemophilia with inherited bleeding disorders
Prepare and deliver training activities for people with haemophilia and their families
Organise scientific meetings and training programmes to expand and apply the outcomes generated by this project
Publicise the results in a national meeting and the haemophilia journal

487 healthcare professionals trained
Built capacity in emergency departments in 49 municipalities
20% increase in people with haemophilia able to self-infuse treatment at home in two years
