Objectives

  • Train healthcare professionals from Baku and the regions
  • Create two haemophilia satellite clinics and improve the diagnosis facilities in Ganja and Shirvan
  • Raise awareness of people with haemophilia and families
  • Create a network of healthcare professionals

Achievements

  • Organised physiotherapy training at the Republican Hospital
  • Established two haemophilia satellite clinics in Ganja and Shirvan
  • Purchased the equipment and reagents for two labs
  • Developed a protocol for treatment of people with haemophilia with inhibitor and von Willebrand
  • Organised 10 educational sessions for 276 people with haemophilia
  • Organised visits to the 12 regions to collect the patients data
  • Minister of Health appointed one nurse and one haematologist in each district hospital
